The "Old God-Mother" Tao Hubai is the undefeated champion in the game of Chili Oil worldwide with her legendary brand "Lao Gan Ma." And in recent times, Jing Gao, the CEO and founder of "Fly by Jing" and Momofuku has risen to new heights with their innovative offerings and flavors.

The Inspiration

It's a ONE MAN ARMY Project

My name is Arif Mahmud. I was raised in a foodie family. My mom has exceptional cooking skills; she truly knows a lot of techniques. Whenever she wants to take credit for a delicious dish, my father always insists on getting his share of the credit too. After growing up and accumulating 15 years of cooking experience, I now agree that both factors matter: proper techniques and the highest quality ingredients can create a remarkable food adventure. Additionally, our universal Apa Siddika Kabir. These three—my mom, dad, and Siddika Kabir Apa—have been my great teachers in my culinary journey.

In 2023, I tested my Chili Oil at the "Ananda Uthan" event in Dhanmondi 27, where I made 27 units and sold 23. I’m grateful to "Team Ananda Uthan" for their support. Despite my tendency to procrastinate, I successfully soft-launched my venture, "Longka Kando (লংকা কান্ড)," while pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.

Most of the ingredients are sourced from mainland China to preserve an authentic & complex flavor profile. I strive to use the highest quality ingredients possible within my price range. From gathering the raw materials to producing the final product—and everything in between—all the work has been done by me. As a one-person venture, I am committed to ensuring the highest quality user experience!
